STRATA is a loop separator that pulls any sample apart the moment you drop it in. A single bar of house becomes five editable layers — bass, drums, melody, perc and vox — each on its own lane, coloured warm↔cold across the mix, ready to solo, mute and re-balance.
From there it's an instrument. Slice by transient or lock to the grid, then drag markers to taste. Play the slices back on the pad strip, tune and reverse them, and re-groove the whole thing with swing, push, DILLA or MPC feel — the loop moves with you instead of staying frozen.
When it sounds right, take it with you. Drag any lane out as a stem, or pull the whole pattern out as MIDI, straight into your DAW. STRATA is the sampler's front end the 13X rack was missing.
