13x Lotus — the neon-glass interface with the eight-petal lotus bloom, the HEAT saturation module and the Club Safe bar
The overview

The whole vintage palette, on one bloom.

Lotus is a retro-colour engine. Eight character modules — saturation, vinyl dust, wow-and-flutter, bit-crush, pump, chop, space and wear — arranged as a living lotus bloom around one COLOR macro. Drag a petal to dial its flavour and steer the whole vibe from the core. Warm a vocal, dirty a drum loop, or run a sterile synth through the wringer until it sounds like it came off a worn-out tape.

The whole bloom is live at launch: sixty voicings across eight modules, from clean tape to a damaged cassette. HEAT alone runs eight drive circuits — Tape to Fuzz to Drum Bus — with a BIAS control for even harmonics, transient-aware DYNAMICS, a PUNCH GUARD that pins your hits to the dry signal, and RMS auto-gain so drive changes colour, not level. SLICE chops on a 16-step sequencer, DRIFT and PULSE lock to your host tempo, and DECAY wears the whole thing down like an old tape.

Here's the trick most colour boxes miss: pile on character and the low end turns to mud. Lotus splits the sub out with a phase-coherent Linkwitz-Riley crossover before any colour lands, so you can saturate, crush and wobble the whole track while the bass stays tight, clean and club-ready. Vintage on top, solid underneath.

The whole vintage palette — on one screen.

The bloom

Eight shades of vintage.

The whole retro-colour palette on one living canvas — saturation, dust, wobble, crush and space, each a petal you drag to taste. Double-click to toggle, and steer the whole vibe from the central COLOR orb. It plays like an instrument, not a chain.

The Lotus bloom — eight petals around the COLOR core
The HEAT panel — drive, bias, tone, dynamics, mix and trim
Heat

Warm, or wrecked.

The saturation heart: eight drive circuits from Tape to Fuzz to Drum Bus, a BIAS knob for even harmonics, transient-aware DYNAMICS and a PUNCH GUARD that keeps hits punchy — oversampled up to 4×, with RMS auto-gain so the level stays honest either way.

Character

Dust, drift and crush.

Vinyl crackle and tape hiss, wow-and-flutter that makes pitch breathe, bit-crush and downsampling for digital grit, a beat-locked chopper, reverb and tape-wear decay. The texture that gives a clean recording a past — all eight modules, live at launch.

Club-tuned

Wreck the top. Keep the sub.

A phase-coherent Linkwitz-Riley crossover pulls your low end out before any colour lands, so the sub stays clean — and optionally mono — while character hits everything above it. Smash the vibe on the full track without turning the bass to mud.

Made for

Where 13x Lotus earns its place.

01

Lo-fi & hip-hop

Tape hiss, wobble and crush turn a clean loop into something that sounds sampled off a dusty record.

02

Vocals

A little tape warmth up front — or drive, dust and drift for a gritty, characterful lead that sits in the track.

03

Drums & bus

Grit and glue the whole kit while the club-tuned crossover keeps the kick's sub tight and clean.

04

Synths & sound design

Run a sterile digital synth through saturation, drift and bit-crush until it feels played, not programmed.

FAQ
What's included at launch?

Everything. All eight colour modules — dust, drift, heat, crush, pulse, slice, bloom and decay — with 60 voicings, 10 fully-voiced factory presets, macros, real A/B and the club-tuned crossover. No module drip-feed: the bloom ships complete, and lifetime updates are included at the founder price.

Which formats and systems does Lotus support?

VST3 and Standalone on Windows 10/11 (64-bit) at launch; the macOS build — VST3, AU and Standalone as a universal binary — follows shortly after. Every build is validated with pluginval at strictness 10 (plus Apple's auval on macOS) and backed by 190+ automated tests.

Is Lotus just for the low end?

No — Lotus colours the whole signal: saturation, vinyl dust, wow-and-flutter, bit-crush, pump and chop across the full range, on any source. The club-tuned crossover is the bonus — it keeps your sub clean while you add character everywhere else.

Do the tempo features work without a DAW?

Yes. DRIFT, PULSE and SLICE lock to your host's tempo and transport; without a host they free-run at 120 BPM, so the Standalone grooves too.
